Présentation of the Châteaux

  • Bought by the family in 1963, the vineyard of Château de Musset is nowadays around 27 hectares. It is one of the largest properties in the appellation Lalande de Pomerol. A new cellar was constructed in 2000.

Near the confluence of the Dordogne and the Isle, Lalande de Pomerol benefits, as the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) in the area, of a sunny climate, hot and humid, which suits the vine perfectly. The vineyard is planted in a gravelly clay and gravelly sand soil mix.

The Château de Musset has been selected in several editions of the Guide Hachette as well as the Guide des Vins Gilbert & Gaillard.

  • The Château Chêne-Vieux has been within the family since 1937 and consists nowadays of 11-planted hectares. The cellar was entirely renovated in 2004.

Created in 1936, the PDO Puisseguin Saint-Emilion is one of the 4 satellites of Saint-Emilion appellation. Puisseguin’s « terroir » benefits from a mainly south & south-easterly orientation along with a dry and bright climate. Its hilly landscape with limestone clay soils, laying on a rocky base, guarantees good drainage and allows the vine to root deeply.

The Château Chêne-Vieux appears in several editions of the Guide Hachette, as well as in the Guide des Vins Gilbert & Gaillard and in the Guide Dussert-Gerber.
